We have forgotten about 48 cuts controversy from CBFC after the success of the film says, Nawazuddin Siddiqui

Entire cast and crew of Babumoshai Bandookbaaz including Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Bidita Bag, Divya Dutta, Kushan Nandy attended success bash of their film on Thursday in Mumbai. While interacting with media, Nawazuddin stated his team has forgotten about 48 cuts from CBFC after the success of the film.
Babumoshai Bandookbaaz faced a lot of trouble from CBFC when then ordered 48 cuts because of having intimate scenes and cuss words in the film but eventually, FCAT gave the green signal for the release of the film with minor voluntary cuts when asked Nawazuddin about the current feeling after going through a lot of trouble and finally emerging victorious, he said, “I am very happy with the response to our film because this film has been made on a very limited budget but earned twice of its budget. Our film’s journey has been really great. We all have forgotten about 48 cuts and all other controversy relating to our film after getting strong response for our film. We have erased all bad memories relating to this film from our mind”.
When asked Nawazuddin what is best compliment he received for this film, he said,
“I am really happy because this film is getting appreciated in small town because my character in the film is more similar to their life so the kind of attitude my character has in this film, people are relating with that and that’s the reason small town audience are giving good feedback to the movie”
When asked Nawazuddin that films of superstars like Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan wasn’t able to create magic onscreen this year and on the other hand his films have been consistently doing
“Things changes with time to time, their films also has collected huge box-office collection earlier so if their one film doesn’t work then it is not like that haven’t able to make profits with their films”.
When asked Nawazuddin whether Babumoshai Bandookbaaz’s next part is on cards, he said, “We can’t comment anything as of now , right now, we are enjoying the success of our film after that ultimately it will be director’s call to move forward with next part of the film”.
Talking about his future projects, he said, “Now, I am shooting and concentrating on Netflix Originals ‘Sacred Games’ along with Saif Ali Khan for which I am really excited but at the same time it going to get difficult for me after that Manto is releasing next year.”
Nawazuddin second time collaborating with Ritesh Batra after their critically acclaimed Lunch Box for a film named ‘Photographer’ in which Nawazuddin will play street-side photographer. Dangal fame Sanya Malhotra is also on board Nawazuddin on that film, talking about film Photographer, he said, “After finishing the shooting of Sacred Games, I will start shooting for Ritesh’s film. I am first time working with Sanya, she is a really good actress and our entire team is really excited for the film”.
