New Delhi. UP committee of CPI (ML) New Democracy has blamed the RSS/ BJP/ Hindu Jagran Manch/ VHP for trying to foment communal strife by targeting Jinnah's portrait in AMU 71 years after 1947. Having no answer to increasing problems of people under their rule, BJP/ RSS has launched this vicious communal attack at this time when people of UP are rapidly turning against them, so that they can divide and win, especially when Kairana bye election is approaching.
Secretary of CPI (ML) New Democracy Dr. Ashish Mital said in a statement, “Partition of India was very unpatriotic and ruling classes should have prevented it. But another unpatriotic injustice in 1947 was the protection given by both Muslim League and Congress to British Industries - Bata, Britannia, Binaca, Brooke Bond and others to hold capital interests and exploit. They also invited Multinational Companies of other imperialist countries and people of both countries have continued to suffer foreign exploitation. Modi and Yogi govt's are going with open arm policy, all over the world to seek more foreign investments. They are uprooting farmers and tribals, undermining environment safeguards and labour laws to sell our resources, cheap labour and markets to foreign exploiters. They are so unpatriotic.”
“In 1947, at least Muslim League and Congress were formally against British rule. RSS was a non participant in the national freedom movement stood totally aloof. They cared little for the country other than their communal agenda. Muslim League's two nation theory based on religion was anti people, but RSS was the first to propose religious nationalism. Not only then, even now they practice the same and are actively attacking minority religions rather than trying to unite the people and the country,” added Dr. Ashish Mital.
He said that AMU Students' Union had given life membership to Jinnah along with
RSS has no support from amongst AMU students, teachers and workers and with support from local police they have moved their cadres from outside the AMU campus to attack the Students' Union.
Dr. Ashish Mital said, “Chief Minister Yogi has tried to add fuel to the communal cauldron by alleging that Jinnah's glorification will not be tolerated, although no such event has occurred as the portrait hangs there since many decades.
RSS/ BJP have nothing to offer to the people except communal carnage, fractured "nationalism" and service to MNCs.”
