I am sorry to write that Deendayal Upadhyay (DU) called for PARISHKRIT of Indian Muslims and the same term was used by PM Modi at Kozhikode which means to purify (shuddhi) and not empowerment as a section of press has reported.
It has been an old thesis of RSS that Muslims are not Indians and need to be purified.
'Shuddhi'/'Ghar wapsi' is part of this nefarious agenda.
Modi as a senior RSS pracharak is resurrecting ideological positions which express open hatred for Muslims of India.
It may be noted that DU was a diehard believer in Casteism and gave it a new nomenclature 'swadharma'. He was a votary of Hindu rashtra, a unitary India and promulgation of Manusmriti as constitution of India. He was murdered and his body was found at Mughalsarai railway station.
Balraj Madhok was blunt in holding (Balraj Madhok autobiography 'zindagi ka safar-3: deendayal upadhyay ki hatya se indra gandhi ki hatya tak' published by Dinman Prakashan, Delhi) that he was killed by disgruntled RSS/BJS leaders and not by Communists/Congress or some thief.
