Hyderabad, Dec 31 : Hyderabad Police nabbed 10 people from Delhi and Lucknow for cheating people on the pretext of getting huge amounts on the existing and lapsed insurance policies.
A group of seven from Delhi and three from Lucknow, involved in the fraud were arrested by a team of cyber crime police of Hyderabad.
The police were acting on a complaint filed by a retired police sub-inspector in Hyderabad, Mohammad Liyaqat Ali Khan.
After carrying out an investigation and nabbing the culprits, police also seized Rs. 7, 30,000 and a number of laptops, mobile phones and other gadgets.
The alleged culprits from Delhi have been identified as M. Rakesh Kumar Mishra, Uday Mahajan, Sardhul Siddhu, Rajeev Singh, Rajeev Verma, Dilbar Kaintura and Saroj Kumar. While three people arrested from Lucknow are Alok Shukla, Ramesh Yadav and Iftheqaruddin.
