The governments of all parties of independent India have been oppressive and have committed unpardonable atrocities , but the BJP has surpassed even the British .They have done things which the British would have been ashamed of .
The British sent thousands to jail , they shot dead in an encounter the young men who had taken to the gun for India's independence ,and massacred more than a thousand unarmed persons at Jallianwala bagh at Amritsar .They razed houses at a few places to the ground for attacking their police and defying their authority by force .They hanged Khudiram Bose , Bhagat Singh and many others .
They divided the Indians on communal lines to perpetuate their rule .But they did not kill the armed freedom fighters in fake encounters , their police did not burn down hundreds of villages to eradicate freedom struggle , they did not arm Indians to fight the Indian freedom fighters- armed or unarmed . They did not set their police to illegally hound out lawyers supporting the freedom fighters or anyone else staying at places where atrocities had been committed to prevent help, consolation or recording what they had suffered. They did not instigate and inspire their police to rape women of the areas which supported armed freedom fighters or was a stronghold of the freedom struggle .
They even punished General Dyer for the massacre of the unarmed men, women and children at Jallianwala bagh .Even a rank imperialist like Winston Churchill raised his voice against him in the British Parliament because he was ashamed of the brutal use of arms against unarmed helpless men, women and children.
In a sharp contrast, the BJP government made the innocent tribal of Chhattisgarh fight one another causing death and displacement of thousands who were forced to seek shelter in relief camps .Its move under the name of Salwa Judum was condemned by the apex court .Its different vigilante groups have a free hand to play havoc with the tribal suspected to be sympathetic to the Maoists .It has turned its police into a band of criminals free to do as they wish to teach anyone suspected to be sympathetic to the Maoists or to the supporters of the Maoist a lesson never to be forgotten .Soni Sori was subjected to an inhuman treatment any country should be ashamed of .
The CBI has found that more than hundred villages have been burnt down by the police to teach the tribal sympathising with the Maoists a lesson. The police are allowed to be a law unto themselves .They are free to pick up anyone and kill him , no question asked .
The National Human Rights Commission has confirmed that the policemen have raped 16 women .The investigation is continuing .Nobody who wants to visit Bastar and adjacent areas to find out what is happening there is safe from the police .Prof. Nandani Sundar of Delhi University , who visited the area a few months ago, was implicated in a false murder case of a tribal .
Thanks to the apex court , she is not in jail .Lawyers , who are there to help the tribal are hounded out by the police or the vigilante groups .The journalists who make factual reports are implicated in false cases and even sent to jail .Many others are hounded out of the area .Recently , a team of lawyers from Hyderabad was arrested and sent to jail .Another team , which visited the place to help them in the case met a similar fate .The latest victim is Bela Bhatia, a well-known researcher and a human rights activist .Scores of motor bike borne vigilante visited her and ordered her to leave the place .All this happened in the presence of the police as it always does because it is done at their instance. Bela as expected has refused.
The government has found a sadist police officer in the I.G. some Kalluri, who is the master mind behind the inhumanity in the atrocities .He has been commissioned to implement the programme of the BJP government. Any other government would have hung its head in shame and shifted him from there, but not the BJP government, which is rejoicing in its inhumanity as did the Nazis .Let us collect and preserve all the evidence against him for the day when this government goes, and we all fight to ensure that he is tried like the Nazis at Nuremberg .He must be made an example so that no other dares emulate him.

P.S. Lest anyone should be tempted to create confusion by raising the question of what all the Maoists do, let me be very clear that we want everyone violating the law to be punished according to the LAW OF THE LAND AS WERE NATHURAM GODSE AND AJMAL KASAB. Nobody should be spared.
