CPI-M, CPI and VCK organized protest condemning police violence on #Jallikattu protest

Today, CPI-M, CPI and VCK parties organized protest condemning police violence on #Jallikattu protest. Some comrades also wore T-shirt with Thozhar (comrade) written on it as police commissioner had asked people not to speak with people who call themselves 'Thozhar' (comrade).

The activists got positive response.

CPI (M) Polit Bureau member comrade Prakash Karat, Tamilnadu state Secretary comrade G. Ramakrishnan along with CC members comrades T.K.Rangarajan (MP), U.Vasuki led party team visited Nadukuppam and Rudharpuram areas of Tamilnadu.

Nadukuppam and Rutherpuram are the worst affected areas of recent police violence unleashed on people protesting and demanding legal solution for Jallikattu.

Protesters led peaceful protest for seven days. Police attack was planned execution. CPI (M) had earlier stated that "Nadukuppam, Rudharpuram, Meenambaala Puram, Maattanguppam and Sivarajapuram areas are affected by police violence. Poor, oppressed and many Dalit household lost their belongings. Involved police officials should be suspended and punished"

CPI(M) also condemned the attempts to tag youth protesters as 'anti-national' by police officials and Tamilnadu Chief Minister O.Panneerselvam.
