Cricket : England's Alastair Cook to retire from international cricket

England batsman Alastair Cook is to retire from international cricket after the fifth test against India at The Oval this week, the 33-year-old said on Monday.

After 160 Tests and a record 12254 Test runs, the former England skipper has announced he will retire from international cricket after the Oval test.

Cook said,

“Although it is a sad day, I can do so with a big smile on my face knowing I have given everything and there is nothing left in the tank. I have achieved more than I could have ever imagined”
