मनुष्य जब तक जीवित रहे तब तक सुखपूर्वक जिये । ऋण करके भी घी पिये । अर्थात् सुख-भोग के लिए जो भी उपाय करने पड़ें उन्हें करे । दूसरों से भी उधार लेकर भौतिक सुख-साधन जुटाने में हिचके नहीं । परलोक, पुनर्जन्म और आत्मा-परमात्मा जैसी बातों की परवाह न करे । भला जो शरीर मृत्यु पश्चात् भष्मीभूत हो जाए, यानी जो देह दाहसंस्कार में राख हो चुके, उसके पुनर्जन्म का सवाल ही कहां उठता है । जो भी है इस शरीर की सलामती तक ही है और उसके बाद कुछ भी नहीं बचता इस तथ्य को समझकर सुखभोग करे, उधार लेकर ही सही । तीनों वेदों के रचयिता धूर्त प्रवृत्ति के मसखरे निशाचर रहे हैं, जिन्होंने लोगों को मूर्ख बनाने के लिए आत्मा-परमात्मा, स्वर्ग-नर्क, पाप-पुण्य जैसी बातों का भ्रम फैलाया है ।

Atheism relates to materialism, celebration of life and right to religion, please make not it Crusade! Brahma Samaj movement, Bhakti movement , Sufi, Peer, Matua and Boul tradition and Arya samaj also rejected rituals, this or that about religion and rejected divine power to protect individual and women, the depressed. No one branded this as blasphemy!
I am discussing Bhagat Singh and his essay on Atheism written before the partition and communal divide of India with a much more devotee India engaged in theism and religious behaviour and Muslim as well as Hindu recognize him as the greatest martyr, Shaheed-e- Azam!
I am not an expert on Bhagat Singh like my dearest friends like Prof. Chamanlal from JNU who returned Sahitya Akademy Award against the governance of intolerance and Sudhir Vidyarthi, who is engaged in writing the History of the people.
Since I have to discuss the necessity of Atheism today, I have to trace the school of Atheism and for me Rushdie and Taslima do not belong to the most reputed school of Atheism but they provoke Islamophobia as the governance of Fascism is banking on this bleeding ATM. They do not stand with Charvak, Shelly or Bhagat Singh.
Geetanjali is not to do anything with faith and it is all about the denial of faith and god and incarnates Nar Narayan as Vivekananda did. As Baharat Tirth, the Genetics of India written by Tagore is the prominent poem of this Geetanjali and Tagore said the merger and unification of so many streams of Humanity created this Bharat Varsh ,the Bharat Teerth. Greatest pilgrimage!
Recently Amir Khan and Anushka Shankar also criticised growing intolerance!
In this context, recently Taslima Nasrin, the exiled writer from Bangladesh now based in New Delhi claimed that she should not be called a Muslim as she is an atheist.
No problem!
Anyone has every right to become Atheist and Atheism is not in opposition to any specific religion and faith of any community.
Charvak spoke for Rinam Kritva Ghritam Pivet and denied the existence of any divine power. Charvak is not an individual and it is Indian school of philosophy of materialism most ancient during Vedic period which rejected the theory of rebirth and insisted that life ends with death and you have to achieve nothing beyond death. Celebrate the life. Our tribal, indigenous aborigine lifestyle is all about the celebration of life.
Charvak contradicted Vedic religion and ritual and all Rishi and Muni did not show any intolerance otherwise every Charvak would have been reduced to dust and the religious hegemony could have do BHASM without using the sword and no Gandhi, Kalburgi, Pansare and Davolkar had been killed.
The murder of Shambuka by maryada puroshottam Rama is not recorded in Vedic literature as Vedic literature had nothing to do with Manusmriti discipline which had to be implemented by the Mythical epic God because Manusmriti was written after the demise of Buddhist India.

This timeline is very important to understand the politics of religion. Because Atheism as well as Islamophobia do consist the phenomenon of politics of religion, Occupy Global Order!
I myself am more or less atheist and I have not to launch a crusade to prove it. As the definition is concerned, it is denial of divine power and in a narrow sense Atheism is specifically the position that there are no deities. Most inclusively, Atheism is the absence of belief that any deities exist. Atheism is contrasted with Theism, which, in its most general form, is the belief that at least one deity exists.
Hindus never had any problem with Atheism as it continued during the Vedic Hindutva but the followers of Islam treats it as
blasphemy and ironically this discourse ends in Islamophobia and war of civilization and it is the latest trend as new Global Order shaped in and the controversy created so recently.
This Atheist school of thinking is not the creation of Salman Rushdie and Taslima Nasrin, it is very important to understand how it becomes a crusade which it should never become.
As Atheism is materialist narration as well as materialist interpretation of life and divine and it rejects the divine to celebrate life. More importantly this lifestyle has nothing to do with any clash whatsoever with theism and faith.
Even before Hegel and Marx,even before dilectic materialism introduced,Charvak school of philosophy radically rejected divine,faith and religion and it was never a crusade.
During European Renaissance,Romantic Poet Percy Bysshe Shelley, was the most eminent Atheist who wrote The Necessity of Atheism while the Church was stronger enough to exclude anyone.Then the Church represented the divine , theism and ruling hegemony all over the Europe .Revolt of the peasantry made the Church liberal and it is history.But Shelley survived with his excellent poetry.
