Until you dare to break the system and turnaround everything for equality and social justice and set free our own sisters, daughters and sisters in law free to decide whatsoever they want and accept their leadership, until a Taslima Nasrin gets a home with citizen's dignity, the kissing campaign would worsen the situation in a nation ruled by hard-core rapists.
Palash Biswas
I am sorry my dear Taslima Nasrin and all friends engaged in the mission of women's lib and the friends from democratic, secular and progressive friends as I belong to rural background and dare not to break the roots which oblige me to think otherwise. Taslima is as loud as she has always been with her non-compromising stance against patriarchal hegemonies religion, which is all about our identity, nationality and pardon, economy. Taslima is talking something about Kissing revolution for which HOKKOLOROB across has been reduced to HOKCHUMBAN.
Just because the neo Nazi cadres in Kochi mishandled couple lips locked!
I am not against love nor am I against Kissing.
I am afraid that the kissing revolution may not liberate women and it is my basic concern that we dare not to break the patriarchal society.
For an example, with Indian and global multinationals wanting more women in their workforce, seasoned women executives appear to be keen to re-skill, I have already got the idea interacting with enlightened, empowered women at my professional network for which I have every right to be proud of.
It is evidence that given an opportunity, any women may elevate her to the status, never reserved for anywhere in the family, society or economy.
My question is as simple as why the empowerment of the women is not well reflected in society, economy and the polity?
Until we accept the woman as an identity beyond her vital statics and the chemical anatomy, until we try to touch her soul as another human being, just kissing would not liberate her.
We may not fight the Neo Nazi nationalism so blind, until we address the basic problems of our economy and production system, the feudal set up of the society rotten within as I always treat the religion as an economy aggressively dominated by hegemonies patriarchal mafia worldwide.
The women in the developed nation are better than ours at home all over the bleeding geopolitics, not because of the freedom of their body, not to mention the free market promoted free sex, it is just because they as the citizens of humanity without political border whatsoever are enlightened, empowered and represented at every level, in every sphere of life which made sex irrelevant.
In India, the hubbies do all the business as spouse and the empowerment of the women from Panchayat to Sansad has been reduced to unlimited patriarchal dominance. You may not liberate the women in India where they are treated as enslaved sex workers without heart and mind, sorry to be harsh and friends may complain my being abusive, but it is the ultimate truth in a bull run economy and a bull run society as well.
