Athar Husain,Director,Centre for Objective Research and Development(CORD) has cautioned the Indian polity to keep the release of religion based Census 2011 data out of the domain of Politics, since any wrongful interpretation of the Census data statistics will unnecessary create fissures in society,specially in the light when RSS is making it a political issue.

As Socio-Economic analysis,the reduce in the population growth is welcome which is both in the Hindu and Muslim community,Hindu growth has reduced from 20.3% in 2001to16.8% in 2011 whereas Muslim growth rate has reduced from 29.5% in 2001 to 24.6% in 2011which is quite significant,and rate of decrease growth in last decade amongst Muslims is higher then national average.

More the socio economic backwardness more will be population growth,so socio economic backwardness of deprived communities like Muslims be addressed to have better results of population control.

Communalising this issue will have negative impact and will not address to the issue.
