Kolkata. Four killed in unprecedented Eid terror attack in Bangladesh. Terror struck Bangladesh for the second time within a week as the Muslim-majority nation celebrated the festival of Eid-ulu-Fit on Thursday.

The Indian NSG team will "analyse and study" the bombings at an Eid prayer gathering in Kishoreganj on Thursday and the terror siege at a Dhaka cafe last Friday, say officials.
This morning, a group of attackers hurled homemade bombs at a police team and attacked them with machetes, triggering a gun-battle near a mass gathering for Eid prayers at Kishoreganj, 140 km from Dhaka.

According to media reports the attack comes days after seven terrorists hacked to death 20 people at a Dhaka cafe.
An explosion was followed by a gunfight between police and terrorists near a mass prayer ground in Kishoreganj area, about 100 kilometres from Bangladeshi's capital Dhaka, where around two hundred thousand people had turned up on the occasion of Eid, according to Indian media reports.
At least four people were killed and many other injured, media reported. Among the dead was a policeman and a terrorist.
In a nationwide anti-terror drive, Bangladeshi authorities recently detained several thousand people. The crackdown in Bangladesh, a country of 160 million, was launched after a series of attacks by suspected Islamic militants on liberal activists, secular bloggers and religious minorities.
Most of the killings have been claimed by Islamic State and Al-Qaeda, but the government denies these terrorist organizations are active in Bangladesh. It says the attacks are the work of home-grown Islamic militants.
Bangladesh has asked India to examine the speeches of controversial Mumbai-based preacher Zakir Naik after reports that two of the Dhaka attackers were inspired by him.
