Bollywood Celebrates Triple Talaq Judgement

The Supreme Court ruling on triple talaq will start a new chapter in empowerment of Muslim women in India. The apex court, held triple talaq being practised by the Muslim community as "unconstitutional", "arbitrary" and "not part of Islam" and Bollywood Celebrities are hailing the judgement.
Paresh Rawal, actor and BJP politician also expressed his joy. He said, “I think it is in Modi ji’s fate to do something good and he has done it. He touched upon this topic on August 15 from the Red Fort. The rights that Muslim women should get, they are finally getting. That’s a very good thing for the dignity of our Muslim women and country.”
Bold and fearless Actress Swara Bhaskar also hailed the decision on social media. She wrote,
“Kudos #SupremeCourt of India...How about similar progressive judgements on marital rape and #Section377???”
Veteran Actress Shabana Azmi also praised the decision. She wrote, “I welcome the Supreme Court judgement on instant Triple Talaq. Its a victory 4 brave Muslim women who hve waged battle against it for years”
Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar also expressed his joy for the same on social media. He wrote, “Welcome judgement by #SupremeCourt 2 declare #TripleTalaq as unconstitutional This will start a new chapter in empowerment of #MuslimWomen”
