CAN A CORRUPT MAN FIGHT CORRUPTION?

Modi claims to have declared a war on corruption.
We believe that only a clean person can wage a genuine war against corruption with the intent to end corruption else the battle is not against corruption but between one set of the corrupt and the other.
Modi is only as corrupt as any other political leader who fights or manages elections or the affairs of the party with money whose source is shrouded in mystery.
The political parties in India have kept the source of their income beyond the scrutiny of any independent authority.
They have kept themselves out of the jurisdiction of the Right to Information Act and have not complied with the decision of the Central Information Commission, which has held that they are covered under the Act.
It is an open secret that all political parties run on the black money doled out by the rich and all of them serve their benefactors and not the millions who vote them to power.
No politician in power politics in the country has the moral right to call himself honest and against black money and corruption. Modi has much less of it because he is one of the most unabashed P.M. who feels and papers proud of rubbing shoulders with the rich.
It is also obvious that he is not a friend of Ambanis or Adanis because he belongs to their economic or social class.
He has been socialising with them by using his position as a Chief Minister or Prime Minister as a ladder.
Should a Prime Minister receive a coat worth several lakh from a businessman ? Is a P.M. Exempted from paying the tax on a gift (the costly coat he donned with his name inscribed) he receives for personal use?
Is Modi exempted from accounting for living beyond his known sources of income? He is known to be spending lakhs on his dress, which he cannot afford from his salary. When information was sought about the cost of his dresses under the Right to Information Act, the PMO replied that it had no information.
The P. M. Should have himself given the information to contradict the allegation that he had spent several crore on his dress since he became Prime Minister.
A Prime Minister cannot afford the extravagantly expensive dresses he wears on his income.
The Income Tax Department should have given him notice to inform it of the sources of his income for his luxurious and lavish life style.
Would anyone of us have been allowed to live in peace under the same circumstances? Any other person (except Modi’s rich pals, of course) would have been declared corrupt and would have paid for his gifts and evasion of taxes.
Let Modi, the P.M. Get away with all this, but let us not be deceived by his pose as a crusader against corruption and let us know him for what he is: one of the tribe of corrupt Indian politicians no more or no less.
