Convention against Silencing Democracy & Criminalizing Dissent 23rd May Hindi Bhawan 11 am

We invite you to a day long ‘Convention against Silencing Democracy & Criminalizing Dissent’ in solidarity with Dr. GN Saibaba. It has been a little more than a year since Dr. GN Saibaba’s arrest. Poets, intellectuals, writers, artists, teachers, activists will congregate for a convention on the 23rd of May 2014 at Hindi Bhawan, ITO, New Delhi in protest of his continuing incarceration. Dr. GN Saibaba is a professor in DU and a person with 90% disability. We demand the immediate release of Dr. GN Saibaba as his health conditions are deteriorating drastically in the hostile conditions of the anda cell in Nagpur Central Jail as made evident in the affidavit filed by the jail authorities in the court recently.

We hope you can make it convenient to attend, participate and cover. A range of democratic voices from across the country will address the programme.
