CPI(M) condemned France, Portugal, Spain and Italy
New Delhi. The Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) has strongly condemned the action take by the governments of France, Portugal, Spain and Italy in denying permission for the plane carrying President Evo Morales of Boliva through their airspace. This brazen action was resorted to at the behest of the United States of America on the unfounded suspicion that Edward Snowden was on board the flight.
“This act is a flagrant violation of international law and an illegal act against the President of a sovereign country. The United Nations should come out against this lawless action” said CPI(M).
