New Delhi. ‪#‎CPIM condemned police assault on students protesting at UGC against the scrapping of non-NET fellowships.
Najeeb VR, Joint Secretary of the SFI JNU Unit, and Sunand, Delhi State Secretary of SFI, have been injured in the police lathi-charge and have been admitted to LNJP Hospital.
SFI leader Najeeb was hit on the head, while Sunand was hit on the shoulder.
The students, undeterred by the brutality, are continuing the protest at UGC.
