New Delhi. Comrade Ritabrata Banerjee, MP, Rajya Sabha wrote a letter to Smriti Irani raising concerns over UGCs withdrawal of Non NET scholarship and demanded its immediate repeal.
Comrade Ritabrata Banerjee wrote, “I am writing this letter regarding the shocking decision from UGC to discontinue the non- NET fellowship for the research scholars in the Central Universities of the Country from the next academic year.”
“There has been a spontaneous spurt of students’ protests against this decision across the country, with protests in Delhi facing police terror and intimidation”, added Comrade Ritabrata Banerjee.
“Various teachers’ associations and intellectuals have also come out openly against this move”, wrote Comrade Ritabrata Banerjee.
