Crossing the LOC: Projecting Failure as Success

A militarily minor incident is being projected by the Indian media as a spectacular success. The simple fact is that Indian commandos crossed the Line of Control in POK, attacked a few training camps of terrorists and killed a few unsuspecting inmates.
If this is a military success, where does it stand compared to Pakistani exploits of attacking our Parliament or the terror attack in Mumbai?
It is nothing compared to Pathankot, Uri and other incidents in which the Pakistanis attacked our military establishments.
The significance of the incident lies only in the fact that Modi has been forced to do something to ward off the daily ridicule for his boast of 56 inches chest.
While the Pakistanis were aggressively hitting us hard, Modi government appeared non -plussed and helpless.

Crossing the LOC is nothing new or unprecedented.
What is new is its public admission and the hype created this time to boost Modi's image. Media are not talking about action taken by India but by 'Modi' reminding us of the days when Indira was India and India was Indira. The hype is also being created to cover up the pathetic failure of Modi's Pakistan policy exposing his incompetence and ignorance of diplomacy.
He invited Nawaz Sharif to his swearing in ceremony without a thought and rushed to Lahore for lunch with him on a telephone call and joined his family function as if he were mending fences with an estranged cousin. It is his flip flop which is responsible for Pakistan’s unpredictable conduct.

What was Modi's motive and expectation from Nawaz Sharif in his 'Bharat Milap ' with him ?

Was he expecting a Pathankot and Uri from him ? Who is to blame for not anticipating the consequences of his 'Bharat Milap' as his Pakistan policy and the loss of the previous lives of our Jawans?
Pakistan has never played straight with India, but whenever the BJP has come to power, its Pakistan policy has emboldened that country to act more aggressively and belligerently against us .
Bajpayeeji brought us Kargil in which thousands of our fine soldiers lost their lives. It was during his government that Pakistan had the gumption to attack our Parliament in the heart of the country.
The common factor between Bajpayee and Modi government was a bonhomie with Pakistan without anticipating its consequences.

Once again, India has been pushed to a wholly avoidable confrontation with Pakistan.
It is worrisome that a war cry is being raised and a war like situation created with unpredictable consequences just to hide the failure of Modi's Pakistan policy. Sometimes, things go out of control and unpredictable consequences follow.
Modi must guard against this possibility considering that both India and Pakistan are nuclear powers. War cry and hysteria must be stopped to prevent unpredictable consequences while taking all required steps to protect our national interest.
