Facebook Confirms Almost 50 million People Affected by Security Breach

New Delhi, 28 September. As a precaution, Facebook said it has reset access tokens for another 40 million accounts, bringing the total number of people who will have to log back in to Facebook to 90 million.

According to the social media giant, The SPUTNIK reports, the breach, caused by a change made to a video uploading feature in 2017 was noticed by Facebook's engineers on September 25.

Steps have been taken to fix the problem, and law enforcement has been informed, the company said.

According to SPUTNIK Facebook promised to immediately reset the access tokens of any more accounts it finds which may be affected.
