New Delhi. AIDWA, Delhi held a demonstration today outside Chhatisgarh Bhawan to protest the authoritarian action of Chhatisgarh police in framing Prof Archana Prasad, Prof Nandini Sundar, Shri Vineet Tiwari and Com Sanjay Parate with murder, criminal conspiracy and inciting riots in Bastar.
AIDWA said, “Chhattisgarh government is clearly violating civil rights and is bent on crushing the voice of resistance. They along with the Central govt have gone all out to curb lawful democratic movement which highlights their undemocratic and heinous activities.”
Those who addressed the gathering include Maimoona Mollah (President), Asha Sharma (Gen Secretary), Kavita Sharma and Bhagwan Devi (both Vice Presidents).
They highlighted the fact that the BJP governments in the states and the Central government are doing the bidding of their parent organisation, the RSS, and they must be exposed. The speakers demanded the withdrawal of fabricated cases forthwith.
AIDWA also submitted a memorandum to the Resident Commissioner. Unfortunately, the office of the RC was unaware of the case.
