Justice Katju appeals to all non-Hindus to keep one day fast on 13th October

New Delhi. Former justice of the Supreme Court of India Justice Markandey Katju appealed to all non-Hindus to keep one day fast on 13th October.
Justice Katju said, “I appeal to all non-Hindus to keep one day fast on 13th October, which is the starting day of Navratri. You can ask some Hindu friends how it is to be observed.
This is just a token of respect and solidarity with Hindus.”
“I had issued a similar appeal to non-Muslims to keep one day roza on 4th July during Ramzan, and I myself kept it ( in fact I have been keeping one day roza for several years during Ramzan )”, adds Justice Katju.
Justice Katju said, “Earlier, Hindus used to participate in Eid and Muharram, and Muslims in Holi and Diwali but the British started their policy of divide and rule by artificially generating communal hatred through their agents. This effort of mine is one of such anti-dotes.’
