Modi used 'Fair and Lovely Scheme' to convert black money into white - Rahul
New Delhi,2 Mar. Taking a jibe at Prime Narendra Modi for his tall promises made to the nation, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi alleged that the former used 'Fair and Lovely Scheme' to convert black money into white.
"Modi ji had promised that he will put the people with black money behind bars. Now, they have come up with a way to save those people. Before the elections, Modi ji said dal is Rs. 70 per kilogram and he promised to bring down prices, but now dal is Rs. 200 per kilogram,"
Gandhi said in the Lok Sabha.
"Prime Minister Modi had promised new jobs, he made a 'Babbar Sher' (Lion) and it is visible everywhere but he failed to give a job. They should tell how many jobs have been provided to the youth,"
he added.
I know Prime Minister Modi is a very powerful man, but I want you to speak something in front of him
The Congress vice-president also used the occasion to criticise Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.
"Arun Jaitley came to me and said that there was no better scheme than the MNREGA, I asked him why he doesn't convey the same to his boss."
"I know Prime Minister Modi is a very powerful man, but I want you to speak something in front of him," he added.
