Modi's seeking fame and bringing us shame
Modi's seeking fame and bringing us shame
Narendra Modi's feverish foreign tours and indiscriminate signing of agreements are meant to create a record so that he might claim as is his wont that no other Prime Minister of the country has visited as many countries and signed as many agreementd as him.
Everybody, including P.M. Narendra Modi , is entitled to his fads so long as they do not harm the country or bring shame or cause embarrassment to his countrymen. His obsession with visiting foreign countries and signing agreements for a record do not bring us shame , but his unabashed beating of his own drum does .
Whenever he is abroad, he begins singing songs in his own praise .He claims that he has made India( which is a nation of scamsters )' scam free' with his magic band.To prove he is exceptionally hard working he goes about saying that he is being criticised by laggard Indians for working for as many as 'thirty hours' a day. He has performed the feat of becoming the P.M.when the people did not want a 'Chaiwala' ( teaseller)to become the P.M His addressing President Obama as "Barak" in their first or second meetimg only and claimimg personal friendship with him was reminiscent of soclai climbers doing the same to enhance their standing in society. His show of proximity with Obama by claiming that he does regular "gup-shup" (chat) with him to enhance his standing is painfully embarrasing for the millions of our proud contrymen, who feel that Prime Minister Modi's act of claiming unfounded personal friendship and familiarity with President Obama is demeaning and brings shame to our proud Nation .
Prime Minister of India has always been a leader of great standing in the world despite our poverty.Even after Nehru , Indira Gandhi (who we condemn as an authoritaria ruler) showed President Nixon and Morarji Desai President Carter their respective places.
We Indians want P.M. Modi to shed his inferiority complex, refrain from seeking importance by claiming familiarity with the leaders of developed countries and allow his achievements to speak for him instead of he himself speaking so loudly of his achievements.
