As you may be aware that we, the people of country under the banner of “Rashtra Samman Abhiyaan, are taking up the issue of getting ‘Bharat Ratna’ for Major Dhyan Chand, the great national hero and a Hockey Wizard.
Needless to mention, Major Dhyan Chand was a true national hero, and we felt the need to honor him by making efforts to get him the ‘Bharat Ratna’ award.
He deserved it more than anyone else as he brought lot of pride and glory to the nation in difficult times. Also importantly it will be recognition of true merit in the country. Denying him this just honor will be detrimental to the spirit of meritocracy in the country, and youth will drift away from fair competition and stop trusting the system for getting the due recognition for their talent. This will be killing national pride and natural talent together.
The people of the country, under the banner of ‘Rashtra Sammaan Abhiyaan’, are most cordially announcing a ‘program’ for making efforts towards getting ‘Bharat Ratna’ for Major Dhyan Chand, a great national hero & Hockey wizard – a true national pride.
Like in the past, under this program, we will be doing demonstration, protest march, making people aware, giving requests to government etc while sitting at ‘Jantar-Mantar’ etc. Also we are appealing people to join hands with us in this cause by coming together at the venue.
Following are the details of the program:
Program: Peaceful Demonstration/’Dharna’
Dates – Wednesday, 29th Jan 2014, Time: 3:00 PM to 4th Feb 2014
(The program will start with an ‘inaugural demonstration and addresses by famous dignitaries at 3:00PM on opening day)
Venue – Jantar Mantar, New Delhi
