Aligarh- 23 November. Forum for Muslim Studies & Analysis ( FMSA ) has welcomed the visit of American President Barak Obama as Chief Guest in Republic Day function on 26 January 2015 .
India is a developing economic power in world and participation of American President Barak Obama in our Republic Day function on 26 Junuary 2015 is an important political and diplomatic development said Prof. Razaulla Khan while chairing a meeting of Forum for Muslim Studies & Analysis ( FMSA ) on Media Centre Aligarh. He pointed out that the way in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given importance to super powers and the neighbouring countries has opened a new chapter in the history of Indian diplomacy.
FMSA Secretary Jasim Mohammad said that we are not only welcoming American President Barak Obama but we have hopes from him also. He said that India is an agricultural developing country and America can cooperate with India in its agriculture and energy sector with new techniques. Jasim Mohammad said that India is country of youth power and America can reap rich harvest by it. He expressed hope that American President may announce some steps to ease the Visa facilities to Indians.
Member of FMSA Farhat Ali Khan said that the way in which our Prime Minister Narendra Modi was welcomed in America and the way in which American government has given priority to Indian interest are giving a new direction to Indo - American relations.
Treasurer of FMSA Nikhat Parveen said that India can play a vital role in providing America human resources particularly in technical fields and the American government should take some more positive steps in that direction.
Former Chairman of History Department of AMU Prof. Shahabuddin Iraqi said that Indian sub continent is a peace loving area. According to continuous economic development of India she must be given permanent seat in the United Nations.
AMU Court member Prof. Humayun Murad said that present government is giving priority to health of citizen. The American President may help India in providing basic health facilities in rural areas.
In the end of meeting FMSA passed an unanimous resolution welcoming American President Barak Obama in India on the occasion of Republic day on 26 January 2015.
Large number of intellectuals, teachers and scholars were present in the meeting.
