Fake 'nationalism' of Modi regime
RSS wants saffron flag against the Tricolour and has always denigrated the National Flag

Nobody can beat BJP/RSS in hypocrisy. When fake 'nationalism' of Modi regime run by RSS cadres is under scrutiny (while they have gone after JNU students for holding a protest meeting against hanging of Afzal Guru by filing

sedition cases, their own cadres are soon going to have second coalition in J & K with PDP which describes Afzal as a 'martyr' and his hanging as 'travesty' of justice), they are now falling back on Tricolour and have decided to unfurl National Flag; The Tricolour in all the universities. It is a very significant development.
RSS wants saffron flag against the Tricolour and has always denigrated the National Flag. The English organ of the RSS, Organizer on the eve of Independence (August 14, 1947) carried a feature titled 'mystery behind the bhagwa dhawaj' (saffron flag) which while demanding hoisting of saffron flag at the ramparts of Red Fort in Delhi, openly denigrated the choice of the Tri-colour as the National Flag in the following words:

"The people who have come to power by the kick of fate may give in our hands the Tricolour but it never be respected and owned by Hindus. The word three is in itself an evil, and a flag having three colours will certainly produce a very bad psychological effect and is injurious to a country."
It is hoped that this message of loyalty towards National Flag will reach RSS cadres also who believe in denigrating the Tricolour and will start worshipping a democratic-secular India instead of Hindu rashtra in their 'prayer' and 'oath' mandatory for every RSS member.
