SAVE GAZA! STOP WAR!

There’s a tragedy of inhuman proportions that’s being unfolded in Palestine every day. Palestine has been invaded, shelled, bombed and battered as never before in known history by Israeli forces. Civilians including children, men, women and people from all walks of life have been killed in the indiscriminate bombings on Palestine. Death toll has crossed 1800 since the current war on Palestine started in July this year and majority of the casualties are women and children. More than 500,000 people have been displaced from their homes and are forced to live in temporary shelters.
In the wake of such a horror, the Governments of the major democracies in the world are either silently watching the unfolding disaster or even supporting this aggression citing flimsy reasons dished out by Israel. But the peoples of the world have been reacting with horror, anger and indignation at this naked display of aggression and subjugation of Palestine by Israel.
People across the world including in Chicago, New York, London, Paris, Sydney and in many other parts of the world are protesting the Israeli invasion of Palestine. India has historically been one of the biggest supporters of the Palestine cause but the present Indian Government has been silent this time around and has not condemned the war on the Palestine people. All democratic and peace-loving people in our country must stand up NOW for the rights of people of Palestine. This kind of brazen bombings and killings of innocent people of Palestine has to be condemned and we must mount pressure on our Government to join the voice of the people all over the world in condemning this inhuman war on Palestine.
Forum for Social Change and The Telangana Journalists Forum are jointly conducting a meeting in Solidarity with the People of Palestine on the 10th August at the Auditorium of the Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University, Public Gardens, Nampally, Hyderabad between 10 am and 2 pm. We invite the public to participate in large numbers and express solidarity with the suffering people of Palestine.
