Statement of minister is mischievous and malicious and against the democratic norms

Lucknow. Centre for Objective Research and Development (CORD) in a joint statement of its Chairman Professor Ramesh Dixit and Director Athar Husain has condemned the statement of Mr Mahesh Sharma Union minister for cultural affairs, where minister in a TV channel interview has said that Dr. Abdul Kalam was a nationalist despite being a Muslim.
Professor Ramesh Dixit and Athar Husain has said that this statement of minister is mischievous and malicious and against the democratic norms of the country where minister has questioned the nationalist credentials of 14%of the fellow Indians thus mischievously has created doubt about Muslims nationalist credentials amongst the rest of Indian population. Both have demanded the immediate sacking of Mr Mahesh Sharma from the cabinet.
If Mr Sharma continues in office after this statement it will be understood that present govt at centre has doubt of Nationalist credentials of fellow Indian Muslims.
