The curse of Kurukshetra
Will this reservation or the quota as demanded by Jaats, finlly given to them?

Krishna was sad and desperate to avoid the battle of Mahabharata. He visited Duryodhan and tried to convince him but in vain. Finally he got up to leave. At this point Duryodhan offered to break bread with him.
Wise Krishna declined this offer with a polite remark,"I am leaving your abode with upset mind. You too are upset with me for I have refused to fight for your army. In this situation whatever food is consumed it will turn into poison for the body."
Today once again the whole of Haryana the land of Kurukshetra where the battle of Mahabharat was fought amongst brothers, is burning with hatred and bloodshed. Jaats the owners of this land, the worthy of praise for their bravery and justice are demanding reservation for themselves from the government and in protest burnt down whatever came in their wake.
Roads blocked, public property looted and burnt. Buses burnt. Private cars are stopped on high ways, smashed and burnt. People had to take regufe in fields to save their lives. To top it all are the rumours of women being dragged out of these stranded cars and raped in the fields.
Isn't it the time to sit back and think of the way demands are beind put forward with the threats all around.

The last nine days in Haryana had seen more than twenty people dead, around 200 injured and approximately 20,000 crores of rupees worth property destroyed. After all this mayhem finally Jaats of Haryana got the cheif mnister Manohar Lal Khattar to agree to bring bill for reservation to Jaats during the next assembly session.
What kind of democracy in the world propagate such methods and methodology? What this particular community wants to prove to the world at large? Are they simple goons out on the streets to get what they want by any all means? Beg, borrow, steal, loot, rape or for that matter blackmail?
These jaats are from the same land of Kurukshtera where the epic mahabharat was fought and lost. Lost because all the great warriors died in the war. Pandvas got their land but at what cost?
Is this land cursed ? If so who is to be blamed?
Krishna had been correct in expressing his displeasue by rejecting Durodhan's offer of food on the grounds that it will act as poison to the body.
Will this reservation or the quota as demanded by Jaats, finlly given to them by making special provisions serve any purpose for the community? Will this ill gotten reservation help jaats in anyway? After so much of destruction already done under the garb of this protest what jobs will they get and where would they work?
However impractical or absurd it may sound but can we as a nation give a major jolt to our thought process?
Can't we do a major amendment to our constitution and get away with the reservation altogether?
No reservation for any cast or community. Instead let the education in the country be completely free at all levels, for all schools, colleges, universities at all levels and for all students; men and women both.
We have the example in our country itself. Both Rajasthan and Gujrat give completely free ducation to all women students at all levels till Unkiversity level. And not to be missed the fact that women are more educated and are in power and decision making places in large numbers in these two states.
Once the education is made free it will pave the way for all the deserving students to have access to the best education as and when they desire so.
This will further open the doors for their social and economical upliftement. There would be no need for any kind of reservation for any particular class, neither on the basis of caste nor on the basis of economical background.
But is it really possible? With the kind of vote bank politics preavalent in our country as is today, sadly we can hardly see it even discussed, leave alone coming into practice such a revolutionary step.
Krihna it seems is destined to go back empty stomach from the land of Kurukshetra.
