১৯৫৬ এর ৬ই ডিসেম্বর। বাবাসাহেব আম্বেদকর এর মৃত্যুদিন। ১৯৯২ সালের ঠিক ঐ দিনটাকেই বেছে নিয়েছিলো সংঘ-এর লোকরা বাবরি মসজিদ ধ্বংস করতে। বুঝিয়ে দিয়েছিলো— শুধু মুসলিমরা নয়, অন্য কোনো সংখ্যালঘুরাও নয়, মৌলবাদের প্রধাণ টার্গেট তাদের ‘নিজেদের’ ধর্মের লোকরা। নীচু জাতেরদের মুক্তি যে তথাকথিত ‘বর্ণ হিন্দু’ সম্প্রদায়ের দয়াদাক্ষিণ্যের ওপর দাঁড়িয়ে হবে না, দলিতদের মুক্তির জন্য যে তাদের বেড়িয়ে যেতে হবে হিন্দুধর্মের আচার-আচরণ থেকে— একথা নিয়ে সবচেয়ে লড়েছিলেন যে আম্বেদকর, তার মৃত্যুদিন টাকে সম্ভবত বুঝেশুনেই বেছেছিলেন উচ্চবর্ণ-হিন্দুদের সংগঠন আর.এস.এস এর নেতারা। আর তারপর থেকে আরও জোরদার হয়েছে দলিতদের ‘হিন্দু’ বানানোর প্রক্রিয়া। ‘আদিবাসী’দের আদর করে ডাকা হয়েছে ‘বনবাসী’ বলে। এই ভূখন্ডে দীর্ঘদিন ধরে যে সাংস্কৃতিক বৈচিত্র্যের ঐতিহ্য প্রবহমান, তাকে দলে-পিষে মেরে সকলকে ‘ওদের পছন্দমাফিক হিন্দু’ করতে চায় সংঘ। যেমন ইরাক আর সিরিয়াতে নিজেদের ‘পছন্দমাফিক মুসলিম’ বানাতে চায় আই.এস.আই.এস সকলকে, যেমন মিজোরামের কিছু জায়গায় ‘ক্রিশ্চান’ না’হলে দলিতকে শাস্তি দেয় ‘ফাদার’রা...
