Women marched to parliament demanding 33% women reservation bill

New Delhi. National Women's Organisations including AIDWA - All India Democratic Women’s Association, NFIW-National Federation of Indian Women, JWP- Joint Women’s Program, YWCA of India, CSR- Centre for Social Research, Oxfam marched to parliament demanding extension of parliament to pass the 33% women reservation bill in this session. Organisations demanded parliament to be extended for this purpose if necessary.
Jagmati Sangwan of AIDWA told, “The women protesters were brutally handled and beaten up by the police when they condemned and were subsequently detained in the police station.”
