आप लोगों के बीच अपने आपको पकड़ बहुत सम्मानित महसूस कर रहा हूँ।

अपने वक्त के महान अदीब प्रेमचंद के जन्मदिन पर हम उन्हें याद करने के लिए एकट्रित हुए हैं। यह सोच कर थोड़ा सुखून भी हो रहा है कि हम इस मामले में अकेले नहीं हैं। देश के तमाम नगरों में, छोटे मोटे कस्बों में आज उनकी याद को लोग ताज्जुब कर रहे हैं। कहीं विचारगोष्ठी हो रही है, कवि सम्मेलनों का आयोजन हो रहा है, तो कहीं समाचार पत्रों के जरिए क्या कहा जा रहा है? किनके दुखों, तकलीफों, आकांक्षाओं, अरमानों ।
